The Queen Consort is to pay a televised tribute to the late Queen, recalling her “wonderful blue eyes” and saying: “I will always remember her smile.” Camilla, in pre-recorded words, will speak of how Queen Elizabeth II carved out her own role for many years in the “difficult position” of being a “solitary woman” in a male-dominated world. “I can’t remember anyone except the Queen being there,” the Queen Consort will add, being among the majority of the nation for whom, until now, the Queen was the only British monarch they had ever known or could recall.The Queen Consort’s tribute to her mother-in-law is set to be aired on Sunday – the eve of the Queen’s state funeral – on the BBC, shortly before the national minute’s silence at 8pm.

Prince Andrew’s future in the monarchy has been a question many have asked in recent days. Kate, 40, looked elegant as she wore a black dress and long three-strand pearl necklace and matching bracelet, while meeting the leaders of the nations that have the United Kingdom’s monarchy as their head of state.

Sophie Wessex was once offered the Royal title later given to Kate Middleton but her husband Edward stepped in to refuse it. The Queen’s youngest son, Edward, 58, and his wife Sophie shared a strong bond with the monarch before Her Majesty’s death on 8 September.

The light-hearted story tells of the then prince coming into contact with cling film for the first time and “shrieking” and “trembling”.The late Duke of Edinburgh had a gripe with son Charles, according to the book, that he was disconnected from the regular world and an example of this was shared of the prince’s struggles with cling film.

Zara, 41, and her husband Mike, 43, paid their respects at Westminster Hall after the procession from Buckingham Palace for the Lying-in State of Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday.
