Viewers of The Chase were left stunned when a pair of contestants adopted a new strategy during the final chase, sparking debate over whether it was fair play.

In the episode hosted by Bradley Walsh, teammates Sue and Ben advanced to the finals after fellow players Ben, 25, Reed, 77, and Johnny from Leicester were knocked out by Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan.

As the duo tackled the general knowledge round, Sue repeatedly answered with "I don't know," rather than "pass," giving Ben the chance to jump in with an answer - a move that triggered claims of rule-breaking from viewers.
