With a similar hairstyle and appearance, ITV viewers compared the quiz-hopeful to soap star Alan Halsall. Taking to Twitter, they jokingly wondered what "Tyrone" was doing on the show, having strayed from the Corrie cobbles.
One said: "That’s Tyrone from coronation street isn’t it.?" A second added: "Seat two Tyrone from Corrie." While a third chimed: "Good to see Tyrone on!" Host Bradley Walsh was made aware of his celebrity status during this evening's show when Kit asked for his autograph.
