New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says The Chainsmokers' concert promoters will pay after the group's July event violated state social distancing mandates.On Tuesday, Cuomo tweeted, «Following an investigation into the Chainsmokers concert in the Hamptons this summer, the promoters will be fined $20,000 for violating public health law.
Further, the Town of Southampton cannot approve permits for group gatherings without State approval.»This comes months after the governor announced that the Department of Health was looking into The Chainsmokers' charity fundraiser concert in the Hamptons, which was advertised as a drive-in event.
