Dave GreenfieldThe Strangler's keyboard player contracted coronavirus following an extended stay in hospital for heart problems and passed away aged 71.
Hugh Cornwell, lead vocalist on their biggest hit, 'Golden Brown', paid tribute to Dave on social media. He said: "He was the difference between the Stranglers and every other punk band.
His musical skill and gentle nature gave an interesting twist to the band. He should be remembered as the man who gave the world the music of 'Golden Brown. '" He is survived by his wife, Pam.
