The pub group behind The Botanist bars have closed three more sites amid a major company restructure. The Botanist bars in Knutsford and Alderley Edge in Cheshire and The Florist bar in Liverpool were all closed down to the shock of revellers on Thursday.
It comes after The Botanist's huge bar and restaurant site on Deansgate was quietly shuttered in the summer. A sign on the door of the Knutsford Botanist today said: "The Botanist Knutsford is closed for the foreseeable future".
In Alderley Edge staff were told they had until the end of the day before it would be closing for good. READ MORE: Much-loved Greater Manchester pub reopens for the first time in two years The affected Botanist bars had at one time been hugely popular destinations for revellers - famed for their plant-themed interiors, botanical cocktails and a food menu known for its much-loved hanging kebabs.
Alderley Edge was the location for the very first The Botanist when it was launched by Living Ventures as a new concept amid a blaze of publicity back in 2012.
