It's the category that just keeps on giving. The idea of treating steel as a precious metal suitable to use with haut de gamme movements was pioneered by Audemars Piguet with the Gérald Genta-designed Royal Oak (which is fast approaching its 50th anniversary) and has been a perennial ever since, not least for Genta who reprised the idea for Patek Philippe's Nautilus and others.
