Ali Abbasi, the director of the Oscar-nominated movie The Apprentice, has been accused of groping an A-List star and has parted ways with his U.S.
representation. The alleged incident took place at CAA’s Golden Globes after party back in early January. Deadline‘s sources say “an inebriated Abbasi aggressively groped an A-list, CAA-repped actor.” Sources close to Abbasi say “he was explicitly advised not to be in contact with the actor” in the aftermath of the incident, while others say CAA wanted him to apologize to the actor.
Deadline reports that Abbasi is no longer working with his agents at CAA or his managers at Entertainment 360.
