Tesco issues urgent recall of popular Christmas item over chemical fears

Christmas staple after a packaging mix up. The supermarket giant has urged customers to return their brand of finest dark chocolate Brazil nuts as they have been incorrectly labelled.

The Manchester Evening News reports a notice posted by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) reads: "Tesco is recalling a batch of Tesco Finest Festive Belgian Dark Chocolate Brazil Nuts. "They had been packed with Tesco Finest Festive Fruit and Nut Selection which contains sulphur dioxide that is not mentioned on the label."This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites."The correctly packed Tesco Finest Festive Fruit and Nut Selection product is not affected by this recall."The risk statement.
