French police are believed to have arrested a British man who walked through the Channel Tunnel. The man, who has not been named, is understood to have set off on his journey last Monday.
It is not known how far he was along the 50.45km tunnel when he was discovered by the authorities. However, the official border lies in the middle, so it is possible the man had passed the halfway mark.
It is understood Kent Police are not investigating the incident. A spokesman for Eurotunnel said: "We can confirm that a person was detected inside the Channel Tunnel and taken into custody by the French Authorities.
