Terrified M62 driver speaks out after electric Jaguar brakes fail at 90mph

A terrified driver said he thought he could have been killed after the brakes on his electric Jaguar failed on the M62. Drama unfolded after the Jaguar I-PACE vehicle malfunctioned on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway towards Eccles yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

The runaway vehicle sped uncontrollably down the M62 reaching speeds of 90mph before police used specialist tactics to ram it and bring it to a halt.

Now the driver, Nathan Owen has spoken out on the horrifying ordeal, revealing that he thought he could have been killed. The 31-year-old, who lives in Bolton, also revealed this was not the first time his car had gone rogue on a motorway.
