Police are hunting a 'knife-wielding' van jacker following a robbery which left a man injured. Greater Manchester Police says the vehicle was reported as stolen on Cinder Lane, in Bolton, at around 7am yesterday (March 21) before being abandoned.
It's understood the victim, who had been hiring the van from local firm U Drive, attended hospital for treatment. GMP says his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Stuart Lever, who owns U Drive with his wife Melanie, told the Manchester Evening News that the victim told the company he had been approached 'at knifepoint' by the offender.
The company was able to track the vehicle from the Doffcocker area to where it was eventually dumped, near to Blackburn Road.
