'Terrible scenes' as person left injured after horror dog attack near primary school

A person was left with injuries after a dog attack outside a primary school in Bury on Tuesday morning (June 4). Police and paramedics were called to the incident on Leigh Lane, beside the Guardian Angels R C Primary School at around 8.15am.

Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to reports of two dogs fighting. One person involved sustained minor injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

One of the dogs involved was later seized after the incident. Witnesses reported seeing a number of emergency services vehicles in attendance. Horrified witnesses posted about the incident on social media. One man wrote: "Terrible scenes this morning at the side of Guardian Angels Church involving dogs.
