A man has been rushed to hospital as emergency services were scrambled to Sale after a dog attack. Police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man at 3.20pm on Tuesday, June 25, on the corner of Urban Road and Washway Road.

Initial enquiries suggested that a dog had attacked another dog and as a result, a man had fallen over and was injured, the force said. Witnesses reported seeing a ‘large dog’ pull its owner over before ‘dragging him’ along. It then proceeded to ‘attack a smaller dog’ which was being walked by an elderly lady on the opposite side of the road.

The dog that was attacked has since been taken to the vets for further treatment, and the other dog has been seized by the police.
