A teenager has died following an incident at a dock on Merseyside. Emergency services were called to a private industrial site located at the Langton Dock in Bootle, north of Liverpool, at around 1.10pm yesterday (Wednesday, December 11).
It was reported a 19 year-old man had been injured in an industrial accident. Merseyside Police confirmed the young man died at the scene, off Regent Road.
A joint investigation into the circumstances of his death will be carried out by detectives and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Liverpool Echo reports. "We are working alongside both Merseyside Police and the Port of Liverpool Police to investigate this incident" they said.
