A young social media influencer tragically died after accepting a dare to drink a bottle of whisky for cash.Thanakarn Kanthee, known as 'Bank Leicester' on social media, was pronounced dead at a hospital in Thailand.The 21-year-old was known for taking on dares to earn money for his family and had accepted a challenge that would see him pocket £700 if he drank a 350ml bottle of whisky.Thanakarn was reportedly at a party when the incident occurred, with attendees filming him and cheering him on.
He began to look unwell shortly after downing the bottle and allegedly vomited before being rushed to hospital. A video filmed at the scene showed partygoers laughing after he had taken on the dare, but the situation quickly turned serious.
After being taken to hospital, he was pronounced dead at around 3.40am on 26 December.The social media star from Bangkok has since been flooded with messages on his profile from fans devastated by the news of his death, reports the Mirror.
Many have expressed their concern for his grandmother, who raised him after his parents separated when he was just two months old.
