Teenage boy, 13, rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Urmston

A teenage boy was rushed to hospital on Thursday afternoon after he was hit by a car in Urmston. The incident happened on Crofts Bank Road at around 3.40pm (April 28).

Emergency services rushed to the scene, with police closing off the road in both directions at the junction with Winchester Road.

Paramedics attended and took the 13-year-old boy to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. The North West Ambulance Service confirmed he was conscious and breathing after the incident, but had sustained a back injury.
