A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Bolton. Police and paramedics were called to the scene of the smash on Crompton Way at around 10.45pm last night (Tuesday).
The road was shut off between Thicketford Road and Firwood Grove. A spokesperson for NWAS confirmed that a man - aged in his 20s - was seriously injured in the incident.

It was reopened at around 4am this morning. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At around 10.45pm on Tuesday 17 May 2022, we received a report of a collision on Crompton Way, Bolton.
