A teenager has died after falling off an electric motorbike. Owen Jones suffered a serious head injury in the crash in Rossendale on Wednesday.
Tragically the 17-year-old died in hospital the next day. Police say no other vehicles were involved in the incident. Emergency services were called to the incident on Goodshaw Fold Road, in Loveclough, at around 7pm.
Owen, from Crawshawbooth, was riding a Sur-Ron LBX electric motorbike. Friends have been paying tribute to Owen on social media. He was a hard worker even working on weekends while he was still at school, polite, smart, funny, loving and genuine. "For those that know his family will know that the The Jones’s are one of the nicest families you could ever wish to meet.
