A pair of teenage boys who were ordered out of their private school over a 'blackface' photo row say it was actually green acne medication and are now suing the school for $20million (£14.3million).

The duo say they were forced out by staff after a photo showing them wearing face paint alleged to be discriminatory went viral last year in the wake of racial unrest in the US.

But the teens claim the 'selfie' picture was taken in August 2017 and actually showed their faces covered in green acne medication.

The boys and their families say St Francis High School told them they should leave or they would be expelled after the picture emerged, the lawsuit claims.
