TheMandalorian star was let go by Lucasfilm on Wednesday, one day after she posted an extremely controversial message to social media, with a spokesperson saying in part, "Her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable." It was not the first time Carano's political posts were met with backlash.
She was also dropped by her talent agency, UTA, on Wednesday. The actor and former mixed martial artist has yet to address the matter publicly.
