Team behind El Gato Negro to open third Manchester city centre restaurant this spring

Simon Shaw, who is also chef patron and creative director at Canto in Ancoats, will be opening a Middle Eastern restaurant and bar this spring.

Situated in the subterranean unit on Brown Street once home to Panama Hattys, Habas will have a live music offering until late.

The restaurant has been two years in the making, with plans first lodged in early 2019 to transform part of the basement of the old Reform Club at the top of King Street.
