Taylor Swift is making a splash in the film industry. The 33-year-old singer’s upcoming concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, is already setting milestones prior to its opening in theaters on October 13. Keep reading to find out more… AMC Theatres, the film’s official distributor, revealed on Thursday (October 5) that Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour has surpassed $100 million globally in advance ticket sales.
The movie will play in 8,500 theaters across 100 countries. On its first day of ticket sales, it set a single-day record for AMC, generating $26 million. Taylor recently completed the U.S.
leg of her Eras Tour, which pulled in more that $1 billion. The “Anti-Hero” singer will return to the stage on November 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, just under two weeks after she releases 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
