The 48-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker walked the red carpet at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival premiere on Sunday (September 10) at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada. Taika‘s wife Rita Ora was not there and she was spotted that evening in New York City.

Due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, he was only there to promote his work as the director. Next Goal Wins did not receive an interim agreement from the guilds like other films have as its being released by Searchlight Pictures, a studio owned by Disney.
