'I'm 24 and have been sterilised - I never will have babies and I'm so pleased'
pregnant.Abby Ramsay grew up in a hyper-religious environment – where she even had to attend a ‘family living’ class as a requirement at her private faith school. But despite her upbringing that was surrounded by religion and teachers preaching about creating a family, the Los Angeles-based lass had other ideas. After having negative experiences with birth control, Abby realised she could not handle carrying a baby - so decided to take a drastic step. She recently underwent a sterilisation procedure that has burnt off and sealed her fallopian tubes – meaning that she will not be able to get pregnant.Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Abby has explained her reasons for getting sterilised and has admitted that she is happy that she will never give birth.Abby said: “I realised pretty early on that the idea of getting pregnant was just really scary for me, and not something I saw in my future no matter how hard I tried to picture it.“I figured, if birth control is this bad, I absolutely would not be able to handle being pregnant. There are plenty of other reasons that I wouldn’t want to be pregnant, but that discovery kind of took it from 'I don’t want to' to 'I would not be able to'.“While surgery may seem like a strange way to take care of this, I figured I could handle having it done once and then never having to worry about it again, than having to deal with intrusive procedures and methods regularly until menopause decided to come along.
