In response, employees barricaded themselves in rooms and fled to the roof while the tactical unit swept the building for the instigator.Ouahioune’s motivation for the incident was that he had been aggrieved by 80 bans from Rainbow Six Siege.

Ubisoft Forward, the publisher’s online showcase, is due to take place this Saturday (September 10) and promises updates on some of its biggest franchises – including a peek at the future of Assassin’s Creed.Taking place on September 10 at 8:00 PM BST, the showcase will feature Ubisoft games such as Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope and Skull & Bones, as well as a special Assassin’s Creed presentation that promises to “unveil the future of the franchise.”The publisher has already confirmed that the new entry to the franchise will be titled Assassin’s Creed Mirage, after a supposedly-official image made early rounds on social media this week.Additionally, it was reported back in February that a new Assassin’s Creed game is planned to release in late 2022 or early 2023, to come before the launch of the online service title Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which will allegedly feature multiple historical settings.According to Bloomberg, anonymous sources claim that Mirage, codenamed Rift, will star popular Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla character Basim, and will be smaller in scope than previous entries to the series. Rainbow Six Siege that was preventing players from joining playlists seems to have been fixed after devs admit to “not having a good weekend”.The issue arose when players tried to join playlists but appeared to be matched with a brand new account. This account/player did not exist, so this “ghost” could not be kicked to fix the problem.

Ubisoft has announced it will be taking action against Rainbow Six Siege players found to be abusing the game’s systems for a specific form of cheating, dubbed “AFKing”.AFK stands for “Away From Keyboard”, and in the context of Siege often refers to players who are farming an in-game resource called Renown while not actually playing the game. Renown, in turn, is spent on unlocking features in-game, including Operators, the game’s playable characters.Officially, Renown is earned by completing matches or challenges in-game, but some players seem to be abusing the spirit of “completing” by rigging their characters to perform simple actions while the player themself is absent.

Rainbow Six Siege Mexico Major was delayed by Ubisoft after a “structural failure” at the tournament’s venue.Posted to the official Rainbow Six Esports Twitter account yesterday, the update on the event reads, “We regret to announce that following a structural failure at the venue, we are ending the stream for today, in order to safely evacuate all players and staff from the main stage.”“No one was injured during the incident,” the post assures. “We are postponing today’s remaining match between DarkZero Esports and DWG KIA.

Rainbow Six Siege in Japan are complaining that the game is being overtaken with what they call ‘AFK bouncers’.The PS4 version of the Ubisoft game is specifically experiencing the problem according to Eurogamer, as the button mapping in Japan here allows for a Renown (the games currency) exploit.Essentially, as the circle button on the Japanese PS4 version is both confirm and crouch, players can enter a match and repeatedly crouch while off doing other things. Since crouching counts as in-game activity, this doesn’t kick these players either.This means that players can join games and stay in them as long as their controller continually presses circle (likely from a mod), thus rewarding them with Renown.

Ubisoft has confirmed that it will address several audio bugs in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege that have supposedly been around for a good couple of years. As brought to light by professional Rainbow Six Siege esports player Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen at the end of June, the reported bug that was said to be plaguing the competitive scene allowed for “dropping hatches, vaulting, and ripping C4 and [gre]nades” silently in-game, making the bug ripe for abuse in competitive play.It’s not exactly clear which specific audio bugs will be fixed in the next patch update through the interaction, though it’s fair to assume the majority made public by Mouritzen will be taken into account.The interaction via Twitter can be seen below:Boom boom – Report

Ubisoft Montpellier is currently working on Beyond Good and Evil 2, but a new job listing mentions an unannounced game.A post on LinkedIn from the studio states: “We are looking for a Community Developer to manage the community strategy of Beyond Good and Evil 2 and an unannounced game.”The hire needs to be an “expert in digital and communication, fluent English/ French and have a solid experience in digital marketing and digital creations.”Beyond Good and Evil 2 was originally announced in 2017 and will be a prequel to the original released in 2003.

Rainbow Six Siege pro Pengu has accused the competitive scene of exploiting audio bugs for a number of years.Pengu tweeted about the bugs yesterday, saying that he had managed to test and replicate abilities which allowed for “dropping hatches, vaulting, and ripping C4 nades” silently. He was also able to throw rappel ropes with no in-game noise as well.Rainbow Six Siege‘s highly-competitive nature means that players often use audio cues to understand what the enemy team is doing.

Rainbow Six: Siege is going to get crossplay on PC on June 30, the Ubisoft Forward stream at E3 has revealed.Ubisoft announced that crossplay and cross-progression will be available between PC, Stadia, and Luna.
