Amy Winehouse biopic, Back To Black, with it including an original new song by Nick Cave.The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and is set to be released in cinemas on April 12. It will follow the life and career of the iconic London singer, with the title role being taken on by Marisa Abela.Now, details of the official soundtrack to the movie have been shared – featuring songs by the singer herself, as well as tracks by other iconic artists.Titled ‘Back To Black: Songs from the Original Motion Picture’, the compilation album is set for release on May 17 via UMR/Island Records, and features three original recordings from Winehouse’s highly influential debut, ‘Frank’ and three songs from her multi-award-winning LP ‘Back To Black.It also includes a new original track called ‘Song for Amy’, which is sung by Nick Cave.Cave, along with longtime collaborator Warren Ellis, composed and recorded the film’s score.A further 5 songs are included on the album, recorded by artists whom Amy Winehouse saw as an inspiration.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) has broken the Disney+ record for the most-streamed music special of all time, just three days since its release.The concert film of Swift’s ongoing world tour, which has also broken multiple records, was made available on Disney+ on 14 March. See the official trailer for the film below.As per The Hollywood Reporter, the film was viewed for a collective 16.2million hours in its opening weekend, surpassing viewership of music films from Elton John, Beyoncé and The Beatles.Expanded from its original theatrical release back in October, the three-and-a-half-hour long film features songs previously cut from the original version, including ‘Cardigan’ and ‘Long Live’.The Disney+ edition also features performances of some of Swift’s iconic surprise songs, which she changes for each night on the tour.

James Blunt has opened up about experimenting with AI (artificial intelligence) lyrics and being “humiliated” by the results.On the March 19 episode of the I Never Thought It Would Happen podcast with host Chris Difford, the pair spoke about the rise of AI and how younger musicians are turning to software to generate lyrics for them.Blunt went on to reveal that he too had experimented with AI to see if it could create lyrics accurately in his style, but was “humiliated” by the results that he received. Blunt told Difford: “Every single one of us must have, having heard of [AI], typed in and then written ‘Give me a first based on this, in the style of, in my case, a James Blunt lyric’”.“The truth is, either AI comes up with something very, very generic or my lyrics are just absolutely mundane.”“So AI has totally humiliated me whenever I’ve gone and asked it to impersonate myself.

On X, formerly Twitter, the official Suits account has revealed there will be a spinoff, although the original cast haven't been asked to return. On Tuesday, the account shared an article from Variety that was printed in February.The article said the new show, Suits: LA, had the go-ahead.The official account reacted by tweeting "We are so back," suggesting the new series is definitely happening.

Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will be returning to Las Vegas for her ‘Jazz & Piano’ 2024 summer residency.The 13-time Grammy Award-winning singer will be making her way back to “sin city” for an eight-night run at the Dolby Live at Park MGM. They top the list with 12 nominations each followed by Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera, with 11 nominations each. Taylor Swift‘s fans in Los Angeles caused earthquake-like tremors when watching the singer perform live at the SoFi Stadium last summer.The ‘Midnights’ pop star played six concerts at the huge Inglewood venue in August 2023 as part of the North American leg of her ongoing ‘Eras Tour’.According to a new study from Caltech and UCLA researchers, the third night of Swift’s stint at the stadium (August 5) saw signals from the show register on seismic network stations within approximately 5.6 miles of the SoFi, and on “strong-motion sensors placed near and inside the stadium” (via the LA Times).The report – titled ‘Shake to the Beat: Exploring the Seismic Signals and Stadium Response of Concerts and Music Fans’ – said the researchers were able to identify “the seismic signature” of each track performed at the three-hour-plus gig.Additionally, it found that the seismic activity was most likely a result of the “dancing and jumping motions” of Swift’s LA crowd, rather than the beats and reverberations from the venue’s PA.Researchers calculated each song’s “radiated energy” in terms of its equal earthquake magnitude. The performance of Swift’s 2014 single ‘Shake It Off’ resulted in the “largest local magnitude of 0.851”, according to the study.The singer’s rendition of ‘Love Story’ resulted in a notable amplitude too (0.800).
