Automotion have shared a new single called ‘Liquify’ – check it out below.The rampant new track is the first the band have shared since their latest EP, ‘Artificial Ascent’ – and sees them capture the same essence of old school Jungle tracks.As highlighted by a press release, ‘Liquify’ sees the South London four-piece – comprised of frontman Jesse Hitchman, bassist Finton Eatwell-Hurst, drummer Otis Eatwell-Hurst and guitarist Lennon Gallagher (son of Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher) – utilise a “rampant and complex labyrinth of quick riffs and eclectic vocals”, and experiment with an assortment of different genres.“The inspiration for the track came from an old school Jungle dance track yet through the process of writing has become so far removed from its influence that it has a life of its own,” Hitchman said of the inspiration behind ‘Liquify’. He also explained that the song was “driven by the tension between the desire to create something new and having personal taste”.The single also sees the band team up with Faris Badwan (lead vocalist of The Horrors) for production duties and Patrick James Fitzroy (PVA, Sorry, Katy J Pearson), who mixed the track.

Jungle have announced a one-off headlining show at London’s O2 Arena which will take place later this year.The London duo – comprised of Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson – will be taking over the famous arena on Thursday, September 12 in support of their fourth LP ‘Volcano‘. Tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday, February 2 10am local time.

University Challenge has gone viral after a music-related question inspired viewers to remix it to make a jungle track.The clip was taken from last week’s episode of the long-running BBC 2 programme, which sees university student contestants compete head-to-head in a quiz.There was one moment in particular that stood out, however, when a music-related question inspired one viewer to challenge others watching the show to take a segment of the episode and use it as a sample in their own jungle track.“What name is given to the genre of dance music that developed in the UK in the early 1990s out of the rave scene and reggae sound system culture associated with acts such as A Guy Called Gerald and Goldie?” host Amol Rajan asked those representing the University of Aberdeen.When they guessed the answer ‘Drum and bass’, Rajan responded: “I can’t accept Drum & Bass. Nia Archives organised a day rave with a line-up of female and non-binary DJs, promoting inclusivity in the rave scene. The award-winning DJ and producer spoke to NME about the event alongside some of the acts on the bill.The Bad Gyalz rave took place in East London on August 6 and featured a set from Nia Archives, as well as her mentor and UK dance legend DJ Flight, Pxssy Palace (Nadine Door and Mya Mehmi), Sim0ne, Izzy Bossy and Saint Lude.“I’ve always wanted to do a Bad Gyalz rave,” Nia told NME after taking over a shipping dock with some of London’s immense DJ talent.

Nia Archives has shared a new single, ‘Bad Gyalz’, and announced a day rave.The song is the artist’s first new release since ‘Off Wiv Ya Headz’ back in June, which interpolates A-Trak’s huge version of Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ ‘Heads Will Roll’.Speaking about the track, Archives said: “I was on ma way to the studio with Clipz listening to Ranking Ann who is one of my fave MCs – period. And then I was just thinking about tha fact that like whenever I go to one of my shows, it’s like 85 per cent women age 18 -25 which is so amazing! And they are all baddies, absolute junglists.

Jungle have shared a new track called ‘Back On 74’, along with a unique, interactive music video – watch it below.The pop duo will release new album ‘Volcano’ on August 11, and it was first previewed by the single ‘Candle Flame’.The ‘Back On 74’ video is touted as a ‘music video art gallery’, with an ever-changing range of 10,000 images changing on each view.When viewing the video – created with WeTransfer – fans are able to download any of the images, with another then automatically taking its place for others to see.Watch the video here.“I think for Jungle, it’s actually really the most honest record we’ve made,” the band’s J Lloyd told NME of ‘Volcano’.“In my head, I see us as like Daft Punk or Chemical Brothers – that sort of duo that makes electronic music. But we’ve always had this soul side and this love for soul music, so it’s always been a little bit more song-based.

Jungle have rescheduled a number of live dates on their 2022 European tour due to coronavirus restrictions.The band are now due to tour from March through to August next year in support of their recent album ‘Loving In Stereo’, which was released back in August.Jungle had been set to begin touring next month, with dates in France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands all scheduled for January and February.However, in a statement issued today (December 15), Jungle cited the “new restrictions being put in place due to the Omicron variant” of COVID-19 in forcing their hand when it comes to rescheduling those gigs, which will now take place in May and June 2022.A post shared by JUNGLE (@jungle4eva)“The safety of our fans is the most important

Jungle have released a new track called ‘Romeo’ – you can listen to it below.The song, which features Dreamville rapper Bas, will appear on the London duo’s upcoming third album ‘Loving In Stereo’ (released August 13).“We’d never had a featured artist on a record before but Bas is part of the journey of this album and so it just had to make the cut,” the group’s J Lloyd explained of the collaboration.The hip-hop-inspired single came after Jungle appeared on the line-up at New York’s Greatest Day Ever festival alongside Bas, who later joined the band at their sessions at The Church in London.‘Romeo’ follows on from previous tracks ‘Talk About It’ and ‘Keep Moving’ in previewing the follow-up to the duo’s second album, ‘For Ever’

Jungle have unveiled a new single ‘Talk About It’ ahead of their third album ‘Loving In Stereo’, which is out August 13.The song arrives with a freewheeling music video featuring choreographed dancers in an empty basketball court. It was directed by the band’s J Lloyd and Charlie Di Placido, with choreography by Nathaniel Williams and Cece Nama.“The video is high energy and was one of the last we shot during the week of filming,” the band said in a press statement.
