It stars Song Kang-ho (“Parasite,” “Broker”) as director Kim, who needs just two more days of reshoots to craft a new ending to his latest film (also called “Cobweb”) so that it will no longer be the trashy potboiler everyone thought he was making.

FIFTY FIFTY have been denied an injunction to suspend their contracts with agency Attrakt.Yesterday (August 28), the Seoul Central District Court rejected the injunction request the girl group had filed back in June, per Yonhap News Agency. At the time, the quartet claimed that their agency had “violated contract terms and took actions that resulted in the destruction of a relationship based on trust”.Attrakt CEO Jeon Hong-joon briefly spoke to Yonhap News Agency following the decision, saying that he now plans to “focus on the criminal lawsuit against Ahn Sung-il and Director Baek”, as translated by Koreaboo.

Cynthia Littleton Business Editor A federal judge in Florida has granted a preliminary injunction that bars the state from implementing a new law that seeks to severely restrict drag performances, a move that has alarmed the entertainment industry. U.S. District Court Judge Gregory Presnell issued the order on Friday that bars state officials from implementing the law passed last month that restricts the ability of businesses to offer drag performances if the venues are open to minors. The case was brought by the Orlando, Fla. outpost of the restaurant chain Hamburger Mary’s, which launched in San Francisco in 1972. “This statute is specifically designed to suppress the speech of drag queen performers,” Presnell wrote in his 24-page order. Given that factor, the legislation is “not sufficiently narrowly tailored to survive strict scrutiny.” Presnell notes in his opinion that Florida already has laws on the books that help restrict children from being exposed to lewd or obscene material, even with parental consent.

Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Netflix and Korean public broadcaster MBC on Thursday defeated a court application for an injunction to stop the airing of their documentary “In The Name of God: A Holy Betrayal.” The 8-part series began airing from Friday (March 3). It is a Netflix Original, meaning that the streamer has global rights, including in Korea. The show examines “the chilling true stories of four Korean leaders claiming to be prophets [and] exposes the dark side of unquestioning belief.” Among its subjects is Christian Gospel Mission, also known as Providence, and also known as Jesus Morning Star, or JMS. It shares those initials with its controversial leader Jeong Myeong-seok (aka Jung Myung-seok) who is currently awaiting trial in Korea for sexually assaulting some of his female followers.

Vans has gone back to court, accusing MSCHF of breaching a court order over the trainers it created with rapper Tyga. Cardi B has been victorious in court once more, when on Monday (April 4), a judge ordered YouTuber Tasha K to take down over a dozen videos and social media posts deemed “false and defamatory” by a jury verdict in January.A filing received by the court last Thursday (March 31) claimed the recent $4million defamation verdict against the host of UnWineWithTashaK required an additional court order, one that would force the removal of any remaining defamatory statements from her social media and prevent her from “repeating and republishing” her “patently false” statements.The filing called Tasha K (real name Latasha Kebe) a “constant ongoing threat”.Per the judge’s ruling, Tasha K reportedly has five days (after being served with the order, obtained by Rolling Stone) to remove statements that allege Cardi B “performed a debasing act with a bottle”, has herpes and HPV, has used cocaine, and has committed adultery and engaged in prostitution.Cardi B (real name Belcalis Cephus) sought the injunction after securing $4million in punitive damages (raised from $1million just hours after receiving the defamation verdict) after Kebe was found liable for defamation, invasion of privacy and causing emotional distress.On the fourth day of January’s week-long trial, Cephus told the court that she had felt “helpless” and “extremely suicidal” over the “false” online rumours.
