Tool have announced a new destination festival set to take place in the Dominican Republic next year – find out more below.The festival, dubbed Tool In The Sand, has been labeled as an “all-inclusive” experience that is scheduled to take place across three days in March next year in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic across two resorts; the Hard Rock and Royalton resorts.Tool will perform two sets at the festival, which will also include sets from Mastodon, Primus, Coheed And Cambria, Eagles Of Death Metal, CKY, King’s X and more. Alex Grey and Allyson Grey have been named as special guests.Tickets are only available in packages that come with a luxury resort room, unlimited food and drinks and entry to the three-day festival.

Eagles Of Death Metal have given testimony in Paris in an ongoing civic trial surrounding the November 2015 terrorist attack on the city – which included the band’s own performance at the Bataclan theatre.Frontman Jesse Hughes and guitarist Eden Galindo appeared in court on Tuesday (May 17), with both describing how the attack had permanently affected them as survivors. The Guardian reports that Hughes immediately knew the venue was under attack while the band was playing their song ‘Kiss The Devil’.“Being from a desert community in California, I know the sound of gunshots,” he said. Hughes went on to state that he “knew death was upon us” as three gunmen opened fire on the audience, ultimately killing 90 people.Galindo, meanwhile, expressed his grief over the loss of the victims – to the point where he ultimately left Eagles Of Death Metal for a time.

Eagles Of Death Metal‘s Tuesday Cross has woken up after being in a coma since January.The 31-year-old bassist and keyboardist – real name Marina Cardenas – is the fiancée of EODM frontman Jesse Hughes.According to Billboard, she had been in a vegetative state for approximately six weeks following an asthma attack that sent her into cardiac arrest. Cardenas suffered brain damage as a result, the outlet reports.Hughes, who had not seen his fiancée for 51 days, took Billboard along as he visited Cardenas after she had come around.“In a few days, she’s shown more progress than she has in the entire previous months,” he explained.
