Circa Waves have announced their fifth studio album ‘Never Going Under’ – listen to new single ‘Do You Wanna Talk’ below.The Liverpool band are due to release the 11-track record – the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Sad Happy’ – on January 13, 2023 via Lower Third/ PIAS. You can pre-order/pre-save it here.‘Never Going Under’ will feature last month’s surprise single ‘Hell On Earth’, which was said to signal “the start of a new era” for Circa Waves.

Circa Waves nearly missed their festival slot in Germany this weekend but were saved when The Prodigy unexpectedly came to their rescue.The ‘T-shirt Weather’ band were one of the many people impacted by the global IT outage that occurred when an update from cyber security firm Crowd Strike crashed over 8 million computers across the globe – including the devices used by airports around the world.Circa Waves are in the midst of their summer festival appearances and were set to perform at Germany’s Deichbrand Festival on Saturday (July 20). Due to the IT outage, the indie band were going to have to cancel their appearance at the bash until The Prodigy came to the rescue with their private jet.The English electronic group were also performing at Deichbrand Festival that night as headliners.

The Black Keys have added two extra shows in Cardiff and Dublin to their 2024 UK and Ireland tour.The blues rock duo last week announced a show in Manchester and two at London’s Brixton Academy this spring.They’ve now added a new pair of dates, which will see them perform at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on April 30 and Dublin’s 3Arena on May 3. Circa Waves have also been announced as support across all dates.Tickets for the new dates go on general sale this Friday (March 15) at 10am GMT from here.

Circa Waves have made a surprise return with their new single, ‘Hell On Earth’ – you can listen to it below.The song is said to signal “the start of a new era” for the Liverpool band, whose latest album ‘Sad Happy’ came out in early 2020. The track received its first play last night (August 17) on BBC Radio 1.“‘Hell On Earth’ is about the world moving so fast around you you’re struggling to keep up,” explained frontman Kieran Shudall of the stomping, energetic number in a statement.“Record stores closing, politicians lying more than ever, social anxiety at its highest level and that general feeling some days that everything is going wrong.”In the anthemic chorus, Shudall sings: “I think I’ve died and gone to hell/ And I don’t care/ I don’t care cos it was hell on earth.” Listen to the single here:An official music video for the single – directed by Circa Waves themselves – is due to premiere on YouTube at 7pm BST this evening (August 18).
