A swan has brought traffic to a standstill on one of Scotland's busiest roads during rush hour. The animal was pictured strutting down the M8 motorway at the Kingston Bridge in Glasgow at 10.26am today.
A long line of cars, vans and lorries can be seen queuing behind the bird, which appears to be none the wiser of the chaos it is causing.
The image was shared by Traffic Scotland as the travel body warned motorists to take care on approach. A Tweet reads: "10:26 #M8 Kingston Bridge Traffic slowing Eastbound on the Kingston Bridge due to a swan walking on the carriageway.
Please #TakeCare when approaching." Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - sign up to our daily newsletter here.
