Suspicious package found at Trafalgar Square hours before Platinum Jubilee party at Buckingham Palace

Only hours before the jubilee celebrations are due to take place at Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square in London has been evacuated by police with reports of a suspicious package being found.

Eyewitnesses are said to have heard a "loud bang" but this has not officially confirmed by the Met Police. Please do not travel to the area. "Updates to follow." The police have now confirmed that the "incident has been concluded" as they followed up minutes later on their first Tweet from the scene.
