Two dogs suspected to be XL Bullys have been seized following a severe attack. Police responded to multiple calls from residents in Sydney Grove, Wallsend, North Tyneside at roughly 11pm on Saturday.
It was reported that a woman and two dogs were injured in a nearby yard. After police and emergency services attended to the scene, a 29-year-old woman was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries to her arms and legs.
Meanwhile, two injured dogs were taken for treatment and currently remain with a vet, Chronicle Live reports. The two dogs were seized as a precaution alongside three other dogs. An investigation has now been launched to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident with officers remaining in the area to carry out door-to-door enquiries.
