Supermarkets have issued urgent recalls on a number of items due to listeria and allergy fears with chicken wings, crisps and cheese on a list of potentially contaminated products.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) keeps a watchful eye over which supermarket items need to be withdrawn for the wellbeing of customers.The latest list of recalled products include cheese found to contain harmful listeria which can cause flu-like symptoms pain, chills, vomiting and diarrhoea.In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications such as meningitis with the elderly or pregnant women and babies more vulnerable to infection.Crisps and chicken have also been recalled over fears they contain milk and barley, posing a risk for.
