The original Sugababes trio, Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy, made a comeback over 10 years ago, but in recent years, have soared back into the spotlight playing sold-out gigs and notoriously over-flowing the fields of Glastonbury on two occasions.
But the return of Mutya, 39, Keisha, 40, and Siobhán, 40, hasn't come without its challenges, as they were left fighting for their right to take back the ownership of the Sugababes group name after the line-up changed three times in their absence.
Mutya, Keisha, who were just 13 at the time, and 14-year-old Siobhán shot to fame as the original members of the Sugababes in 1998.Their debut single, Overload, hit the charts, but Siobhán left the group in 2001 and was replaced by former Atomic Kitten singer Heidi Range.
In 2005, Mutya left the band shortly after having a baby and was replaced by Amelle Berrabah. Keisha remained the last original member of the group before she was shockingly replaced by Jade Ewen in 2009.The new form of the Sugababes released the seventh album before taking a break in 2010, and we saw the return of the OG's Mutya, Keisha and Siobhán in 2012 under the name MKS.The trio faced a tough journey to release music and remained somewhat under the radar, but finally, in 2022, they reclaimed their Sugababes name and made a triumphant return to the stage.
