Suella Braverman was no stranger to controversy in her time as home secretary, which came to an end after she was sacked in a Cabinet reshuffle today (Monday November 13).
Opponents of Ms Braverman consistently accused her of employing far-right rhetoric and lacking compassion in her comments about asylum seekers, immigrants and multiculturalism.
She had previously also been effectively sacked by Liz Truss over security concerns, before being brought back into government a week later by Rishi Sunak.
Pressure was mounting on Rishi Sunak after Ms Braverman was accused of stoking tensions ahead of Armistice Day protests, with calls for the Prime Minister to sack her.
