A stunned holidaymaker was hit with a £870 bill after returning to Manchester Airport from his honeymoon in Egypt. Scott Avery booked parking at the airport before his two-week trip.

He chose the Meet and Greet option and dropped his car off at the airport on May 30, LancsLive reports. But little did the 51-year-old know, he and his wife had left their car in the wrong parking spot.

They arrived back in the UK and were shocked to see a bill of almost £900 on the parking ticket machine. He said when the couple arrived, they were instead ushered to Terminal 2 West Car Park where they took a token and went on holiday.
