Manchester Airport is the second best hub in the country, according to number-crunching by a holiday firm. OVO Network used several key indicators to determine which airports were the best.
These included the number of passengers, total outbound flight routes, access to accommodation, amentiies like shops and restaurants, parking costs, and access to respective city centres.
However, the analysis did not look at queue times in Security or Immigration, nor did it assess baggage handling, flight delays or cancellations.
All of these issues have affected the travel industry as the country emerges from the pandemic, with their impact on passengers at Manchester Airport having been widely reported.
