JJ Chalmer will be whisked off the dance floor straight to the operating theatre as soon as his time on Strictly Come Dancing has come to an end.

This comes after the former Royal Marine’s dance rehearsals have left him in severe pain after a piece of shrapnel in his leg caused it to become inflamed.

JJ has shared that although dancing with his professional dance partner Amy Dowden leaves him in agony, the show must go on, until he leaves the competition at least.

Speaking about this to The Sun, JJ shared: ‘My body is covered in scars and it’s full of shrapnel and frag and stuff from Afghanistan, which can sit quite happily for many years without any real issues.
