The UK is set for a washout week before Christmas as heavy rain spreads across much of the country. Morning morning will see showers batter parts of Britain with the Met Office warning of a risk of thunder.
Wednesday and Friday are expected to see the worst of the wet weather this week, with downpours and strong winds across England, Scotland and Wales.
Temperatures will still struggle to get into double figures until later in the week, with lows of around 6C on Thursday. The Met Office says it will, however, be warmer than of late with highs of 12C mid week, and it doesn't look cold enough to see snow just yet.
