Strictly's Amy Dowden shares chemo treatment update amid breast cancer battle

Amy Dowden has given fans an update on her treatment amid her cancer battle ahead of her fifth round of chemotherapy. The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 33, was first diagnosed with aggressive stage three breast cancer in May after finding a lump while preparing for her honeymoon with husband Ben Jones.

Taking to Instagram, Amy posted a selfie as she held up the number five, confirming that she is about to face another round of treatment.Amy is connected to a drip in the photo and appears to be staying positive with a smile on her face.

The Welsh dancer sported a pink hoodie with black tracksuit bottoms and wrote alongside the snap: "Chemo 5 [tick]"This comes after Amy shaved her head in a bid to 'take back control' with the help of her loved ones in an emotional post.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Amy wrote: "Taking control- The hardest step so far. I tried my best to save it. I know it’s only hair but these past few months I’ve had what feels like so much taken away from me that has made me not feel like Amy."I’m missing every possible aspect of dancing.
