Brave Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has told fans she feels more herself again following her cancer battle. On Instagram, she told how she "had the best morning," after picking out a selection of wigs to wear, saying they have "given me my confidence back." The Strictly dancer, who is taking a break from the BBC One dance content amid treatment, has been candidly sharing her journey after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.

Amy announced in June she had been diagnosed with cancer and underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction after receiving her cancer diagnosis.

Sharing some pictures of her new hair on Instagram with followers today (Friday), she also wrote this message: "HAD THE BEST MORNING!

Two beautiful, gorgeous wigs from @amberjeanshop @amberjeanrowan . I feel like Amy. Thank you so much. This is one of them, guess the colour of my other one?
