STRICTLY Come Dancing is keeping viewers on their toes by trying to line up two same-sex pairings. Bosses of the BBC One series want a male duo and a female duo as they try to avoid a predictable line-up.
The move shows a commitment from Strictly to recruiting the first same-sex couples in the competition’s 16-year history. The landmark change comes after singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins and professional Matt Evers performed together on ITV’s skating contest Dancing On Ice this year.
An insider said: “This is another intriguing twist in the journey. “Everyone assumed producers would simply pair gay pro Johannes Radebe with a male celebrity but they felt that was too obvious.
