Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland has cheekily admitted to fibbing to judge Craig Revel Horwood during a recent episode of the BBC show. The comedian had previously flattered the notoriously tough judge by rating his new album as a "10 out of 10", and predicted it would be a Christmas hit.

Despite Craig, 59, appreciating Chris' kind words, he didn't hold back from critiquing the hopeful's Paso Doble performance.

Although he pointed out some errors, he also praised the routine as "wonderful" and "a solid performance". However, when it came to scoring, Craig gave Chris a seven out of 10, the lowest score among the four judges.

Reflecting on his humorous interaction with Craig while chatting with fellow contestant Pete Wicks ahead of last weekend's Musicals Week, Chris revealed: "What I did last week, because he always, when you go to Craig, he goes into this condescending tone of voice, and he goes, 'Well the arms, the shoulders are high, the knees are high, blah, blah, blah, blah.' "And so on Saturday, I thought - I'll cut this off before he gets into it and I buttered him up about his album that was out.
