Stretford canalside homes taking shape and may soon be up for grabs

A partially completed development of 51 canalside homes in the emerging redevelopment of Stretford town centre is being marketed for sale.

The ‘Edgewater View’ properties are taking shape on the site of the former industrial site next to the Bridgewater Canal, known as the Royal Canal Works.

Plans for the 40 apartments and 11 townhouses off Edge Lane, close to the Stretford Metrolink tram stop, were approved in 2022.

But a ‘matters application’ has now been submitted for more detailed works, including a surface water disposal scheme, its waste management strategy, EV charging points, cycle storage, external lighting, and bat boxes.
