Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Street Soccer kicks off in Lanarkshire to give young people football facilities

North Lanarkshire Council's free youth football programme has returned.Street Soccer aims to give young people the facilities to play football in their local area.Sessions take place in a purpose-built mobile football pitch which is enclosed to ensure maximum enjoyment for the players.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

"The players get to practice their skills, play small-sided matches and exercise in a safe and fun environment. “The evening sessions are a great place to socialise with friends and stay fit and active."We have a rolling programme of venues and our coaches love to help and encourage the players to enjoy their football.”NHS Lanarkshire are helping fund the programme and it is supported by Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue.While the sessions are taking place, the council’s community learning and development team are on hand to offer workshops and activities for young people to take part in off the pitch.
