Manchester Airport has issued a warning to passengers ahead of Storm Bert's arrival. Brits are braced for severe weather in the coming days, including in Greater Manchester.
A Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice is currently in force for much of the country, including the North West, until 10am tomorrow (November 22).
It is followed by another warning for rain and snow from 4am on Saturday until 9am on Sunday. Some strong winds are also forecast in the coming days.
With snowfall expected overnight, Manchester Airport is urging passengers to check the latest flight information before they travel on Friday. "In the meantime, our teams are working hard to prepare the airfield and clear any potential snow overnight to minimise disruption." According to the Met Office, Manchester Airport could see wintry showers from 9pm tonight until midnight.
