The Met Office has issued a rare red weather warning ahead of Storm Babet hitting the UK - with rain forecast to fall across Greater Manchester tonight.
The red warning for showers has been issued for parts of the east of Scotland from 6pm tomorrow (Thursday) to midday on Friday.
In the area covered by the warning, the storm is set to bring 'exceptional rainfall and impactful wind' which could cause a 'danger to life'.
The Met Office has also issued a number of yellow and amber warnings for rain and wind in Scotland and England from Thursday to Saturday with flooding expected.
