Much of the UK is bracing itself for heavy rain and strong winds brought by Storm Ciaran - and Greater Manchester is set to be hit by the downpours.
Downpours are set to begin over our region from the early hours of tomorrow morning (Thursday), with heavy rain forecast to fall for several hours until around 6am.
After a few hours let off, more heavy rain is then forecast for tomorrow afternoon and into the evening, according to the Met Office.
Showers look set to be persistent and heavy until Friday morning when they should then ease off. A yellow weather warning for rain comes into force at 6pm today and lasts until 11.59pm tomorrow.
